Acer R 13 keyboard not working after installation at first login
Hello everyone,
This is my first time on this forum.
Anyways, I am trying to install Slackware 14.2 onto an Acer R 13, and I can't seem to get it to work. Slackware installs and boots up. But the keyboard doesn't seem to work as it can't seem to accept any keyboard inputs. This means that I can't log in to the machine. I already updated the BIOS and the behavior is the same with Legacy and UEFI Secure Boot. Both behave the same way. Any Ideas?
There is a module you need to load to get the touchscreen working (evtouch) however with the keyboard not working....hmmmm.
I'd start by trying a USB keyboard, different driver module combination, on the running system and see if I could get some functionality. If that works, check dmesg for messages from the module, check lsmod to see if it loaded, (check to see if it's installed...).

I checked for messages in the module, it didn't seem to help. I will try the USB method though.

I know it's for OpenSuse ... but does any info from this Page apply ?
Maybe there's a hint-or-two on the other sites ...
HTH.

We tried editing the config according to the instructions and it didn't work.
Through more testing it was found that aborting the installation will allow the keyboard to work. That is not a viable option.
Do I need to to configure ELILO for keyboard support?
