I've read the "upgrade.txt" and "changes and hints" but still have a few questions.
I'm running a quad boot system: Slackware 12.2 (32bit), Slackware64 (current), and two Windows OS's. I'd like to upgrade both Slackware versions.
In Slackware64-13.0 Changes and Hints:
Quote:
*** INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPGRADING FROM 12.2 ***
Follow the instructions detailed in the UPGRADE.TXT located in this
directory. Note that upgrading from a Slackware version earlier
than 12.2 is NOT supported at all and will most likely not work.
Also note that upgrading from 12.2 to 13.0 (64bit) is not supported.

My question is: Can I upgrade the Slackware64-current to Slackware64-13.0?
My Slackware version from /etc/slackware-version reports:
Code:
Slackware 13.0.0.0.0
It seems there are two different version 13.0's availble...here's a screen shot of one of the official repositories:

I am using the Slackware64-current. Are there any changes from *64-current to *64-13.0?
My second issue is just being a bit afraid of upgrading. Installation was fun and relatively easy. Even though I've searched and read on upgrading, I would like some "hand-holding" through the process. My plan was to download the necessary directory's (a-y*) and proceed from there. I want the process to be as painless as possible. I don't know if using slapt-get, slackpkg, pkgtool, or other would be the best way to accomplish the task. I'll have a printed copy of Upgrade.txt at my side, and hopefully a few useful comments from members who reply here
