64 bit Slack 14 & DCP-7040

Has anybody installed a Brother DCP-7040 all-in-one on 64-bit Slack 14. I would like to get some info before attempting as I always end up pulling out what little hair I have left when I try to install a Brother printer into CUPS.

I have not personally used that printer in Slackware, but I did find a Linux driver if you didn't see it yet. There's only RPM's and DEB's but you could use rpm2targz.
