After downloading Slackware64-13.0, I tried to burn the iso with k3b. It got to 99% and just quit. Then I remembered - that's exactly what happened with the last iso I tried to burn.
I got it done on the cli with no problems. I hope k3b is sorted out soon.
Are you doing this from a 13 machine? I read somewhere that the kde3-compat one is the one to use. For some reason the kde4 one does just what you describe.
It has been documented over and over to use kde3-compat, most problems can be solved if all the documentation is read.
In the entire last year, except for the two coasters, I have used k3b maybe two other times to burn an iso image. I don't really need k3b at all. Its only a gui frontend anyway. That said, however, it was so easy to just click on an iso and k3b would pop up ready to go. Now I actually have to do a bit of human intervention. I really need to learn more cli stuff anyway.
