2.4x kernel and USB devices
i'm asking this just out of interest
what i noticed when installing slackware 11 on my laptop
first at bootup it asked me to type in extra kernel options or other kernel
so first i left it blank, so normal 2.4x kernel without extra kernel options/flags
and i use USB mouse, USB Keyboard and USB printer
and the system got to
Probing for USB controlers:
and it hanged there, nothin happened
so i pulled out every USB device and rebootet, worked like a charm
so then i pluged in all of the USB devices and selected
huge26.s kernel
as boot option
then it booted up ok
so now i'm just wondering, why this happened? was this an "only for me" error or a well known issue with 2.4x kernels?
