Well, thank you for all the replies!

As I previously noted, the MD5 was fine, so after scratching my head a lot I decided to install Slackware on a VM using qemu.

The instalation went perfectly fine, and my virtual Slackware had everything working fine and dandy, so my bet is that the USB stick I am using has some sort of fault. Either I did burn the ISO the wrong way, or either the poor thing is half dead as I keep burning ISO images on it. I'll try to burn it on a different stick, or maybe buy a blank DVD. Hopefully that would be enough!

*Edited: I am writing from my Slack 14.2 system. It was a problem with the USB
