This was the last release to feature a.out type binaries and the libc.so.4 C library
(3.0 was the one that switched to ELF and libc.so.5).

PS: I think that's the oldest Slackware release they got, although I didn't look very hard for older ones.

I have a copy of Slackware Linux, kernel 1.2.13, from The Linux Bible (1998 or so). I was able to build a bootable qemu image from it. It takes 15 seconds from boot to login, and halts in 8 seconds.
