Question Problem with Nistnet Installation


hai frnds,
i installed ncurses-5.4 in the directory
cd /usr/src/linux/lib
and then i tried with
make menuconfig
it is working but i have doubt here ? how to select the settings here or we can leave according to default
i tried by leaving it as default and then tried with
make dep ( here there is problem like it is not necessary now)
if i try
make command
i m getting 2 erros like
arch/i386/mm/discontig.c 272 error ...
make[1] *** arch/i386/mm/discontig.c error 1
make:***arch/i386/mm error 2
it is unable to make discontig.o
so please tell me regarding this what to do.
i m having another doubt tat is there any particularity about the location of the nistnet folder. i have tat in the desktop.
which linux(redhat,suse,debian) is better for Nistnet. so please help me in this regard as early as possible. thnx a lot.
