Buster to Bullseye while using 5.10.0 backport

I'm using the kernel backport to support a comet lake processor. Bullseye doesn't need this. Can I drop that repository and change the others to Bullseye. Am I taking a risk the system will break.

when you read the official documentation on how to upgrade from buster to bullseye the very first step is make a backup (and also be sure you can restore your system from that backup). You can remove backport from sources.list.

Nah it will still work as the kernel will be the same only the version number will change. If you do not remove the backport line like I did when forgetting I had it in file in the sources.list.d directory it will keep that kernel. And for me prevent the zfs from updating and working properly as it installed the old version when the new was needed. Oh and a couple of the repositories have changed the format of the lines, change to them or it will not work as expected. My new file below it is from my Pi4 but the same list works on a regular computer.

Code:
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
