I have a nVidia GTX 650 2 GB

Hello,
On OpenSuse tumbleweed, how can I make sure that the nVidia drivers are used?
I have a nVidia GTX 650 2 GB.
When I drag a window, there is tearing. Can v-sync be enabled?

Show the output of
Code:
inxi -Gxx
That will tell us which DDX driver is in use.

If necessary install inxi first...
Code:
sudo zypper in inxi

Good info on installing the drivers here...

inxi -Gx gives
Graphics:
Device-1: NVIDIA GK107 [GeForce GTX 650] vendor: ZOTAC driver: nouveau v: kernel
bus ID: 01:00.0
Display: x11 server: X.org 1.20.8 driver: nouveau unloaded: fbdev,modesetting,vesa
resolution: <xdpyinfo missing>
OpenGL: renderer: NVE7 v: 4.3 Mesa 20.0.6 direct render: Yes

I ran
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh https://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/tumbleweed NVIDIA

It said that repository NVIDIA is out of date and to run
sudo zypper refresh

Then, use Yast2 to install the driver. It will take 8 min.

Reboot the PC.

inxi -Gx gives
Graphics:
Device-1: NVIDIA GK107 [GeForce GTX 650] vendor: ZOTAC driver: nvidia v: 440.82
bus ID: 01:00.0
Display: x11 server: X.org 1.20.8 driver: nvidia
unloaded: fbdev,modesetting,nouveau,vesa resolution: <xdpyinfo missing>
OpenGL: renderer: GeForce GTX 650/PCIe/SSE2 v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 440.82
direct render: Yes

Now, when I move a window, it does not lag. The tearing, I think it is gone.
I will mark this as SOLVED.

Thanks ferrari!
