Unity3D / Gstreamer Segmentation Fault

Afternoon Folks.

So I have currently installed Unity3d on a brand new install of x64 current. So far everything is working great, cannot fault it, BUT when I downloaded the appImage Here of Unity and chmod +x the appimage, I got the error

Code:
ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:
/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstlibvisual.so

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap --gst-disable-registry-fork and debug.

ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:
/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstlibvisual.so

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap --gst-disable-registry-fork and debug.
ERROR: pipeline could not be constructed: empty pipeline not allowed.
at the moment I have renamed libgstlibvisual.so, so it cannot find it and the install went through just fine.

I have ran the below and the error never appeared on either account

Code:
bash-5.0$ gst-launch-0.10
ERROR: pipeline could not be constructed: empty pipeline not allowed.
bash-5.0$ su -
Password:
root@Desktop1:~# gst-launch-0.10
ERROR: pipeline could not be constructed: empty pipeline not allowed.
But I am curious on what the file is for?
What will renaming the file affect on the machine? Other than vscode/Unity3d nothing else will be used as such.

Cheers

Looks like this old bug report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28495
There's a patch inside that bug report for libvisual-plugins which is supposed to fix this error.
If you want, try it out and report back.

If you move the file anything that depends on the libgstlibvisual.so library will break.

Thanks for the reply Alien / Orbea

Something I have not done before, applying .patch files. Unsure to where I should even start.
From what I believe would I need to take the libvisual-plugins from the source\l
Extract the above and apply the patch, then tar it back up?

Honestly no need for a reply, at the moment renaming the file works just fine, I just hope I wont need it soon

Cheers non the less

Removing libvisual-plugins0.4.0 via pkgtool
Downloading the source from a slackware mirror "slackware64-current/source/l/libvisual-plugins/"
applying the patch in Aliens post

Reinstalling via the slackbuild,

No more problems at all running gst-launch-0.10

Cheers Alien Bob
