KDE Notification Location

Even though I've set notifications to appear Bottom Right in KDE settings, most of the time they appear Top Right.

Occasionally it will follow the setting and I will be happy. Just wondered what causes this and if there's a fix?

Notifications continually interrupt my productivity, appearing in front of tabs and the new tab button, etc.

What version of KDE? There are significant differences between v. 4 and v. 5 (aka Plasma).

Although it might not be relevant, it might help to know what distro/version.
