Can't connect to vpn with NetworkManager-openvpn on latest current
as of the latest current I'm unable to connect to a vpn through NetworkManager-openvpn. I don't even get the spinning action on the icon; as it usually does when trying to connect.
I've tried on versions 1.8.4, 1.8.2, and 1.2.10 of Networkmanager-openvpn
/var/log/messages displays
NetworkManager[28856]: <info> [1530550817.8729] audit: op="connection-activate" uuid="8ce6e93b-83bc-4568-87ec-af0045eb5b8e" name="East" result="fail" reason="Cannot specify device when activating VPN"
the error source is the nm-manager.c file in the /src directory of NetworkManager source. Reading the error explanation, I'm still not able to determine exactly what causes it.
I rebuilt NetworkManager-openvpn after my first attempts at connecting to the vpn; just in case a rebuild would have solved it. It did not. I also tried adding --with-libnm-glib, as a configure option to the slackbuild; as it was added to the latest NetworkManager.
Anyone else have this issue?
