Curious about LQ users OS uptime and hardware information

My longest uptime right now is 17 days and some change. That tells me that that particular system last got an updated kernel 17 days ago . . . .

My answer mirrors that above, although I have had my machine up for days with no problem. Also, I switch it off at the power point, to let the power drain from the capacitors in the power supply, to give it a rest - so it's nice and rested when I turn it on.

Uptime is < 14 or 15 hours because I shut down every evening. Here is the rest. Haven't implemented smartctl yet, on the list to do .
