[SOLVED] Slower Download Speed in Linuxmint 20.3 Than Windows or Mac

Problem: Linuxmint download speed slower than on my 3 other machines

I'm using ExpressVPN, and I try to stay current, but as I mention below, I've had this problem for months; I just finally got around to looking for a solution. I use the VPN on all the different OS'
MTU is 1500 if you need to know. None of my browsers give me any errors,
***These dmesg errors just started recently, I've had the slow download speed for months.*** So I include them just to show there's nothing else.

I'm using Linuxmint 20.3 Cinnamon on one machine (tried LM21,and went back); also, I have a Macbook Pro Intel, and two other Windows laptops, one Windows 7, the other Windows 11. I forget the numbers, but will guess between 25-35% slower.
I use the same download helper called DownThemAll, an extension that I add to Firefox, Brave, Waterfox, Librewolf, Vivaldi, and MS Edge. I use Waterfox most of the time (at least for large iso downloads). But when I do large downloads from the same site with the different computers, the Linuxmint does not give me the same speed as measured by the DownloadThemAll (whether the machines are downloading concurrently or not). The Windows machines and the Macbook do pretty similar speeds which are faster than the Linuxmint.

What I've tried:
So I am wondering where to look. I've tried searching for various themes of "different download speeds windows linux", etc., and "slow download speed linux" but nothing seems to be the answer. I've looked for setting the MTU, but with several tests of ping, I don't see a problem. I have tried a

ping -s 4096

(yes I gave it a couple of addresses), and got no errors. Me thinkest I doth bark up the wrong tree. So I'm guessing it's something else. I wondered if it was some setting of my wlan0 that I would have to change in ethtool (which I couldn't figure out how to manipulate or which part of the nic to adjust, anyway). So am I even in the right ball park? What should I be looking for? Thanks.

What dmesg errors started recently?

A quick test maybe would be to test the bandwidth between two of the computers using iperf if you can connect one of the others using a wire instead of wireless. The results should be the speed or fairly close to the wireless speed of the Mint computer wireless adapter type i.e 802.11ac. To be more precise we need to know the specific informstion about your network hardware. There are lots of factors that might be causing the speed to be slower but if the results are reasonable then it probably isn't a driver or hardware problem.

I do not know if the PCI error is related to wireless speed but I don't think so.

It would be nice to see some hard numbers between the different systems.

So I downloaded a large file: pfSense with both computers connected through my VPN's Dallas server (I'm in AZ, so about 1100 miles from me to VPN server), and the pfSense server is in Austin, TX. It's 417.86 MB
On my Macbook: Time was 12:25.94 (mm:ss.hh)
On my Mintbook: Time was 11:57.72

So I guess I have made a mistake and wasted other's time. I apologize.

Thinking back, I can only think of one thing that could have caused it. Every time I try to connect to the FreeBSD Forum and I'm connected to a USA VPN server, neither of my browsers are allowed to connect. (I forget the error). Anyway, I tried several US servers, and then switched to one in The Netherlands. So I could log in to the forum that way. I guess I forgot to switch back to a US server when I tried downloading the large files, but my memory is so bad, I don't really know. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks to everyone who read/answered.
