Manjaro Privacy and Security

Hi there!
Have been considering trying out Manjaro distro for a while now with the goal to make it my every-day distro. I've been using Debian for 3 years now (actually it is the only distro I've used since I completely switched to Linux from Windows 3 ears ago). From hat I've seen (and touched in VBox) Manjaro is a good and modern-looking distro. The only thing that stops me from installing it 'properly' is that I am not familiar with distro's security and privacy state. If I recall correctly there were some tracking issues with Deepin DE if I'm not mistaken. Are those vulnerabilities still there? Is Manjaro in some way a spyware? I'm not worried with switching from Debian-based distro to the Arch-based one in terms of ui and so on. But is it sage to use Manjaro when we talk about privacy and security?
Thank you!

Their track record is bullocks....

If you want to use Arch, use Arch, if you don't like the Arch "installer", then use Antergos. There used to be a nifty Arch installer called Architect but the dev. stopped maintaining it a few years ago. Other options, Archbang etc...

that's where it differs so much from pure archlinux installers (i believe antergos is one of those; i used archbang in the past).

Deepin would be no different if used on another distribution

Also same as any DE - user responsibility to secure internet connection, firewall etc

Manjaro official releases are XFCE, KDE and Gnome
Other DE/WM are community supported
Manjaro Architect installer will have all DE/WM options

Arch forum is known to be for pure Arch only, great information for reading but don't post if not 'proper Arch'

Manjaro has good forum for many things, but also has many links and kudos to Arch Wiki

FUD from reddit was irrelevant even back then
I been happy rolling Manjaro XFCE for much longer

FUD? It was only moderately improved after Allen raised the alarms over what was happening at Manjaro.
