how to configure http_proxy in linux with domain name

I want to configure http_proxy on my linux box to access internet. I have domainname username and password to access internet with proxy server name and port.

I am looking for option how to set domain name in http_proxy command to access internet.

for example

domain name: test
username: amit
password: amit@123
proxy server ip address: 10.120.100.2
port: 84

please help me with command.

i do not really understand, but as far as I know you don't need to set domain name at all.

when i put proxy setting on my windows machine and try to access internet. i prompt me for authentication. I used domainname\username and password for authentication.

I thought I have to use same thing while accessing internet from linux client.

we can use below example to access internet ?

export http_proxy=http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@proxy-server.mycorp.com:3128/
