Mouse (trackpoint) acceleration - not working after (libinput?) update

Hi!

I updated to current today (7 days from last update). After the update and restart, my cursor (trackpoint, on t420) is running very fast, with no acceleration. Changing this setting (XFCE) has no effect. Any experience with this?

Same trackpoint behavior here on ThinkPad T430 using KDE. I also suspect new version of libinput, but haven't investigated it much.

On a side note, while looking into libinput I learned that scrollwheel emulation (moving trackpoint while middle button is being pressed) is enabled by default, which is a nice thing to have.

Yes, very nice to know this. Thanks!

On the other side, the main question remains open...

Looks like this bug is confirmed, and originates from 1.9: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archiv...ry/037170.html

The bug description on this page: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103959 contains steps to fix this temporarily, until it's fixed within libinput.
