why is pcmcia restarting

I'm trying to find out what is causing this behavior. Here is a clip from my logs:

Sep 3 18:02:26 nephilim cardmgr[23372]: executing: './network stop eth2'
Sep 3 18:02:27 nephilim cardmgr[23372]: socket 1: Lucent Technologies Wavelan/IEEE
Sep 3 18:02:27 nephilim cardmgr[23372]: executing: './network start eth2'

Some details that are probably worth mentioning:
eth2 gets its IP via dhcp. I don't think the lease is expiring because I don't see any indication of it in the logs.

I've tried just commenting out the appropriate start) and stop) sections in /etc/pcmcia/network but that doesn't seem to help matters.

At this point, I'd just like to know what calls this script periodically?

Best,
Adam
