Cool using linux file server folders from linux workstation


Hi

I am using Redhat Linux 7.1 as a server to keep our user files and installed RH 9 in Workstation. How can I login to server and access files from the workstation.

setup NFS. That's what it's there for.
it's usually installed by default.
All you do is create an /etc/exports file with a line like this:

/data 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw, no_root_squash,sync)

the first part is the folder you want to share, then the IP/subnet mask of your network. The other options are explained better in the docs. (man exports)
