I can't telnet ot my redhat box (8.0). I am xinetd and I checked in xinetd.d there is no telnet file. Also I have only telnet-0.17-23 installed . I can ssh to that box. What's wrong ??
I tried to install telnet-server on other redhat 8.0 box and I was able to do it but I am not able to do it on this box, where I have telnet issue. Both are running same kernel version so whay can't I download on one and not on another ??
i am not exactly sure, but why would you want to use telnet to get to your RH box, ssh is sooo much better. Also, i believe that some distros do not even allow telnet connections because of security conserns.
