samba connection to windows network rh9


Hello,

I am trying to connect my rhp linux box to a windows network

I issue the following command and get thye following errors.

smbmount "//126.195.176.11/MMG Drive/Jeeves" /mnt/winclient-cdrom -o username=****

timeout connecting to 126.195.176.11:139
Error connecting to 126.195.176.11 (Operation already in progress)
8802: Connection to 126.195.176.11 failed

Anyone have any clues??

Are you using the correct share name?
Use the command smbtree to see all samba shares on the network.
Use the command smbclient -L hostname to see shares for a particular PC. Replace hostname with the actual hostname of the PC.

Then check the shares via smbclient
smbclient -L hostname (use actual hostname of windows PC)
