red hat satellite server no scheduling option any ideas

I have been all over the links on the satellite server and I cannot seem to find how to schedule a job. I see the schedule link at the top of the screen but I don't see a calendar and time etc.

It allows me to schedule the job but the next time the server checks in it will get run. I want to schedule things like every 1st Tuesday of the month to patch or Friday for a reboot etc.

I want to schedule a patch to be pushed down at a specific data/time not just when the client checks in with the satellite server.

I also want to see a history of how and when / what was patched on a server from the satellite server.

ie: server 1 received 4 patches on jan 20 2012. and they were xyz patches.
server 2 received 100 patches etc...

Is there a way to get a report in a human format from all the systems. I dont want to have to go to each system and look at the /var/log/yum.log

Spoke to RH and they said to write an API. Not sure (currently researching this) what an API is or how to write one etc.

Has anyone done this already?

Rather than running rhn_check on your clients which will pull updates, you will need to install the OSAD daemon on your clients. This allows the Sat Server to push updates anytime you need (i.e. you can schedule exact times).

Mike.
