problems mounting fastora raid 300

Has anyone had any luck mounting a fastora RAID-300 with redhat? It's a USB Mass storgage device. Each drive in the box is definitely recognized, and by running the sg3-utils, I was able to figure out they were at /dev/sde through /dev/sdg. However, when trying to run mount either at boot via fstab or by hand once booted, I get errors that the file system is not recognized. This error occurs whether I try booting as ntfs, vfat, or auto.

thanks for any help...

howzit

never used that raid controller try these commands and see what output it may give u then try troubleshoot futher.

to see what modules are loaded use this command lsmod and see if your raid controller is being seen by RH. if not then get the modules / drivers from manufactorer then modeprobe <module> for it to be installed and execute it when RH boots up.

the other cmd would be lsusb and this lists the usb devices same thing see what comes up.

Thanks for the advice. As it turns out, the disks on the fastora had been RAIDed with the fastora volume manager, which is windows only software. I think that turning the RAID off on the volume manager and making the disks straight ntfs or fat32 may make the disks readable on linux. That's what I'll try next.
