Problem while Mounting through NFS

I made an nfs server and and I am able to mount the the directory from any of the systems on LAN but this require root permissions.

I want every user to be able to mount the nfs share. But getting error message "only root can do that".

Is there any way so every user or some specific users could able to mount the nfs share.

you would add an entry to /etc/fstab and include the "users" option to allow non-root users to mount it. e.g.

server:/nfs /mnt/nfs nfs defaults,users 0 0

yeah...but then direcotry would be mounted whenever systems get started. However, I want users to mount it when required, using command line.

if that's what you want then i'd actually advise something else... check out autofs which will let the remote nfs filesystem be mounted on demand without user interaction, and umount it after a period of inactivity.

if you really really want to do exactly what you said just add noauto to the fstab options to stop it mounting automatically.
