I am using Redhat 7.2 and kernel is 2.4.

My monitor is Philips LCD screen (170S) .

Which Motherboard vendor do you got?
and to fix this you'll have to configure your /etc/X11/xorg.conf right.
In your case running RedHat 7.2 you'll have to look for XF86config I guess.

when i configure my inbuilt display card using Xconfigurator (is there any other way.... )...the error i am getting by Xconfigurator "Problem with your Xconfiguration"

anyway PC boots into command mode...then when i try to get into GUI by "X" the error is

"Error: S3: Mode "1280x1024" needs hsync freq of 74.59khz Deleted"
"Error: S3: Mode "1280x1024" needs hsync freq of 78.86khz Deleted"like this there are many . errors going over the page....

can that display card work??????????

its showing in the list of those cards....but not taking...?

anyone knows y ?

Thanks,
Prasad
