uninstall the program.
reinstall as root AFTER you install dependancies as root.

check and install the dependancies of the dependancies and then their dependancies.
(the dependancies of your depedancies' dependancies are your dependancies.)
Check Dependancies.

Other notes
This client uses an un-GNOMEified version of GtkHTML 0.8, which is under the LGPL. Download the source.
find the GtKHTML Gnome version.

REDHAT LIKES GNOME! this problem might be as simple as that.

do the following in kde and gnome and other win-mans.

Login to KDE.

open a root console and start the program in x-server.
look at the text that flies by, if any errors exsist that might show the problem.

type

dmesg | tail

directly after the "crash". !!!
These might direct you to the problem.

uncomptress the rpm and see if you can compile the source. if a problem exsists you may also notice it here.

try installing Ymessanger for redhat 7 as last resort.

thanks for the link.

My messenger is working now.

The problem i had earlier was of inablity of ymessenger client to create a link on the desktop.

[root@dslmp-static-181 ~]# ymessenger
Creating file /root/Desktop/ymessenger.kdelnk
Creating file /root/.kde/share/applnk/Yahoo!/ymessenger.kdelnk
Segmentation fault

this was the error i was getting. So i unchecked the option for creating a desktop link & i got thru.

But still i hav no idea why is this happening so.
