mkimage command not found error in RH9


Dear All,

I am working on the RH9 and i have compile the source code to make the vmlinux file and then i have made a .gz file of that file and now i want to make the bin uImage file of that compressed gz file and for that i have executed the command mkimage with its required options, but it shows the error that mkimage command not found, then i ve tried to find it in the help but i still couldnt find the command like that, can anybody see what is the problem in that? why it is showing such problems? plesae help me to find, i am in hurry to complete the project and this is the final step to do and in that i am not able to proceed, please do help me.

With the Red hat family use the following steps to create/build/install the compiled kernel;

make mrproper
make menuconfig (or xconfig or gconfig)
make bzImage
make modules_install
make install

This last step does the work you need, please see;

Hii,
but wat about the uImage file, which i can download into my target system? should i insert the bzImage file? will the bzImage file compatible with uImage?
