Lost LILO

I've installed win2k over my XP partition on partition 1 and forgot to backup the boot.ini
now when my machine boots i no longer get the lilo/grub window as I used to.

I had RH8 on the 2nd partition.

Is there a way to rebuild this option so i can choose to boot into my linux box?

thank you

ok well i don't know what the boot.ini has to do with losing lilo, but you can boot your machine with a rescue cd and just run lilo ..

here is the complete steps of what i just said ..

if you want to know, having a removable harddrive is a great alternative to lilo. imo anyways. i got 2 removable harddrive covers and a mount, so that i can put in my linux hard drive or my windows harddrive and it works fine. plus you don't have to worry about mixing hard drives.
