Integrity chek for /etc/init.d

Hi!

someone know how I can check if the /etc/init.d scripts are broken?
My RH9 says: INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel

My syslogd shutdown before the INIT's error.
Can I make syslogd shutdown's the last ?

Thks!

P.S: Very, very ugly(Brutto in Italian ;-) english, sorry...

If this is on shutdown then it's OK. Just means no processes left to kill.

In the runlevel dirs (/etc/rc.d/rc#.d) for levels 0,1 and 6, change it's number in the sequence to "99".
So for instance if the symlink for level shutdown (0) was 21, try:
"mv /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K21syslog /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K99syslog".

Ah, you mean a filesystem check. When that occurs, didn't the box shut down cleanly? If you drop to runlevel 1 and do a filesystem check manually twice in a row, do the same or new errors occur? Do you have old harddisks?

I think (different ;-) ...) that filesystem check occurs because my linuxbox didn't shut down clearly.

I don't have old hdd.
