Installing RH over Mandrake

If I wanted to 'replace' Mandrake with RH9 on my system, can I just install one distro over another? I've been using both, and I want to stay with RH on both my home and work machines. My current setup is WinXP on one partititon, Mandrake and its swap on the others. Dual boot is working just fine; I just want to replace my Mandrake choice with RH. TIA!

Yea, when you install RH just tell it to partittion the mandrake partition and that should do it and make sure you setup grub during installation. Just to be safe find the disk configuration and write down the name and partition of the drive mandrake and windows are on so you dont delete the wrong one.

OK, but one last question: which partition should Grub go on. I happened to check the box for advanced bootloader options, and tht choice was offered me. By default, the NTFS partition was chosen. Is this right, or should go on the "/" ext3 partition?
