init error

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

worse luck

when a run command init 6, then system shutdown a series of services
it seems worked properly
but ..... at last, prompt:

INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel

and hang on.

who can tell me what above message?

I checked /etc/inittab, it seems fine

and I install initscripts package again with

run rpm -ivh initscripts-7.31.13.EL-1.i386.rpm --force

but can't resolve.

who can help me, thank very much.

If possible, try posting the outpupt of the following command:

rpm -Va

This command will show you if any files that were installed via RPM have changed.
