howto monitor process and autostart if killed

i am running something like a webserver and the application i am using may crash every few days
i would like to use something that monitor the application i am using and autostart it if killed

is there any application doing so ?>

i am using redhat enterprise 4

Try nagios. It was designed specifically for this type of work, and can scale from 1 to several thousand systems. You can even add your own plugins for custom applications.
