How to disable the power button (shutdown/restart) in GDM login screen?

Hi all.

I'd like to disable the power button that appears in the lower-right corner of the GDM login screen in CentOS 6.4 (see attachment). I don't want to give normal users the ability to shutdown or restart the machine. However I couldn't find any useful method till now. Has anyone succeded in doing this?

Give this a try:
Code:
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory -t bool -s /apps/gdm/simple-greeter/disable_restart_buttons true
Works on RHEL 6.4, so it should work on CentOS 6.4

Today I verified it works. I couldn't log out the user till now, since it had a very long process running in foreground (I should instruct him to launch processes in background with nohup or screen). Now I can confirm that the suggested command works and the power button disappeared from the login screen. Thank you, Druuna!

You're welcome

Guess this is solved.
