How do I get kdm to start with command line options?
I wish to do equivalent to startx -- -ignoreABI for my KDE desktop on start up in my Red Hat Advanced Server 2.15 u3 install and believe kdm is used for KDE and expect this is easy.
I have checked /etc/X11/kdm for scripts but cannot see any obvious edits that will pass this xfree86 argument. It only my second play with Linux so it may still be obvious.
My display fails with ABI versioning problems if I do not set -ignoreABI. I am using savage driver 1.1.26t with xfree 4.2.0. I could solve by upgrading xfree but I am trying to keep install as close to 2.15 u3 distribution as possible for other administrators. Surely setting -ignoreABI is easy somewhere?
Alternatively if I boot to textual mode, how do I then launch KDE with Xserver and -ignoreABI option.
Apoligies for asking basic question.
