expand main partition to another hard drive?
I have an older computer that was given to me, which I am using as a test subject while I work on getting my Dell Server up and runable. Anyways, this machine is a 466MHz Celeron, 256 MB RAM, 4.6 GB HD...
I installed Red Hat 9 for now(I have a RHEL WS 3 license I don't want to activate until i install it on my server) and after installation, there is a grand total of about 900 MB free space...
The old e-machines are build stupid, in that the HD is mounted vertically against the front of the chassis. Which makes it next to impossible to add another internal HD. My only viable solution was to install a removable HD bay i had lying around with a 6.1 GB HD in it. So now I have the main HD which is the Primary Master, the second HD which is the secondary Master, and the CD-ROM as Secondary Slave.
Is it possible to expand the / partition across to the second HD? I'm sure I could do this if I reinstalled right? Is there a way to do it without re-installing?? Thanks in advance....
