Directives in httpd.conf

Hi,
I am learning Apache. Is it so that "ALL" the directives used in httpd.conf are somewhere provided by Modules??
My RHEL5 lists following loaded modules
core.c
prefork.c
http_core.c
mod_so.c

what I infer from this is " this four modules provides default, available Directives".
am i correct??

When you search Google: http://www.google.com/search?q=apach...les+directives, first link:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/mod...reference.html gives you all explanations you need.

On the right side of the list there is "C" for each "core" directive, and when you click on directives, page that opens has a module name for each directive in the top square.

I suggest you improve on your google-ing skills, almost all of your questions so far are easily found in the search engines. That is the sole reason why only few people want to even answer you. We are here to help you solve your problems by pointing you in the right direction, not finding links for people not willing to search or think.

I hope you will not get offended by this, but if people see you are trying by your self, and get stuck somewhere, they will rush to your aid.

Dear DrLove73
To be very honest..You are right.I didn't search well before posting.I always strive for basic concept and not just superficial knowledge; replies here from people like you explains things very very clearly,so somewhere I do found myself guilty of trying to save time.

I would certainly like to thank you for caring to reply and pointing out my fault and showing me correct way.I appreciate

next time on,you will find me improved.

Thanks
