customizing red hat 7.1 distribution

can i make a new linux distribution from an existing linux distibution? how can i do this?

I just replied to your post in the LFS forum.

sorry for not reading the rules... i will read it... thanks for the reply... can i know how to customize a linux distribution? i mean is there any software or a programming language that customizes a linux distribution? cause all i need in my study is just to remove the unecessary applications in the installation of the distibution
