Question Can I use kernel-headers rpm for RH7.2 on RH9?

Hi guys,

I'm installing glibc-devel-2.3.2-11.9.i386.rpm for RH9, and it needs kernel-headers 2.2.1 or older to work. The problem is that the newest kernel-headers rpm is for RH7.2. What'll happen if I (try to) install that? I will not have a chance to install from sources.

Thanks!

force install the glibc devel, and see if it works.
rpm -ivh glibcwhatever.rpm --nodeps
you can use --force if you want.
