burned cd
i used the drag and drop method of burning the cd to the automated directory that pops up when a blank cd is inputed.
i burned the dhcp client and it's dependencies for freebsd on the cd.
i mount the cd on freebsd using the following.
mount /dev/acd0 /mnt/cdrom
i'm advised the following
mount: /dev/acd0 on /mnt/cdrom: incorrect super block.
what did i do wrong?
i'm trying to get dhcp to work on my freebsd box.
when i unmount it i receive
umount: /dev/acd0: unknown file system
do i need to burn this in a special way for freebsd to recognize the cd?
did i mount correctly?
why doesn't dhcp work from fresh install?
I have been reading on file structures.
How would I determine what file structure the cdrom was burned as?
I'm assuming i would pass this file structure to the mount command?
can someone please point me in the correct direction.
I checked my fstab and found my native file system for redhat 9 is listed as ext3.
I tried to mount the filesystem with
mount -t ext3 /dev/acd0 /mnt/cdrom
i received the following error
mount: exec mount_ext3 not found in /sbin:/usr/sbin: No such file or directory
please help, i'm completely lost now.
