APACHE as simple WAP server (it works)

I tried this in my Redhat Linux 9 and I want to share it with you especially for newbies like me

Configuration

Apache

Locate the httpd.conf file (in /etc/httpd/conf), file and add the following lines:

# WAP MIME Types

AddType text/vnd.wap.wml .wml

AddType image/vnd.wap.wbmp .wbmp

AddType text/vnd.wap.wmlscript .wmls

AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlc .wmlc

AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc .wmlsc

Save the file and restart Apache.

You might also want to add index.wml to the DirectoryIndex directive, like this:

DirectoryIndex index.wml index.html

Now, to test if your apache supports wml files u need to download wap browser like WinWap 3.1 Use google to search for winwap or if u want u can use your mobile phone to view your wap pages.
