Copied text not available to paste

When I copy text and close the app with the text, it is
no longer available to paste.

Is there a way to have the copied text be available without leaving another app open ?

can you please specify exactly which app(s) is it, how did you copy and paste (with keyboard-mouse-menu-whatever)

Same problem for me, I always supposed I was linked to the fact I used very light window managers

I found out that installing Clipboard Manager will save text.
