Can not delete directory

I set root/Downloads as my download dir for Seamonkey.

Seamonkey will not save files to it.

I cannot delete the directory either.

lsattr shows no immutable attributes set either.

What is going on ?

I tried fsck, but can not figure out how it works.

I used some examples I found, but no luck.

fsck --help has no info either.

Using another distro, it did show Downloads having the immutable attribute ?

First mount the file system readonly or unmounted and then run:

Code:
fsck /dev/sdx
You may also run fsck particular to your filesystem e.g. 'fsck.ext4'. The plain 'fsck' invokes the filesystem unique 'fsck'.

I can not unmount a running system.

I will look to see if puppy will let me mount as read only.
