Anitaos - Puppy Linux 4 Unleashed Fork

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd let you know about this updated fork of Puppy Linux 4.12 which is a DIY build as you go distro which is ideal for old machines and is very fast. It is Significantly updated.

Here is the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/anitaos/

So if you have an old machine in the shed or you use something really ram challenged by todays ram hungry distros then this may be for you it follows the kitset model of building your system

Added to the Stable ISO's a Multiuser iso which allows a user to add non-root users which is of course unusual for Puppy Linux based Distros

Does AnitaOS support Floppy drives and give a floppy icon on the desktop?

I ask because I am a regular puppy user and have panasonic cf-48 and a IBM M41 with floppy drives on them
and a case Of Sony IBM disks.

Code:
harry@biker1:~/isos$ ls
AntiX puppy_iso redobackup
harry@biker1:~/isos$ cd puppy_iso
harry@biker1:~/isos/puppy_iso$ ls
AnitaOS(NONSMP200814).iso puppy-arcade-11-k2.6.32.59.iso
Thanks darry1966. My ancient rigs still see service in the motorcycle shop. Customers play dosbox based games and ThinkTanksDemo on those old kits.

Appreciate your efforts here in the deserts of Texas.

No problem mate I'm here in cold damp earthquake ridden Christchurch New Zealand envious of your hot weather. Texas is a beautiful place.

Latest regular AnitaOS with a non-SMP kernel with a Xorg 7.3 is now available this is as usual an LTS release: http://sourceforge.net/projects/anit...atest/download

P.s. Have now added a SMP ISO in the same folder.

Avidemux video editor is removed. FFconvert is there to do the same job. Flburn cdburner also added.

Version 3 released 2017 available for download. Based on Puppy 4.3.1. Successfull in spite of old fashioned. Unfortunateley Puppy 4.3.1 is the only version refusing to run on my laptop. Older 420, 412 boot without trouble..
FFconvert is efficient, but will not do all what Avidemux can do. And Avidemux will not do all what FFConvert can do. But Avidemus will be easily installed if you need it.
Editing video on old laptops should be a nightmare. Just watching Videos is a chance. Depends on RAM available.
