where can I find simple source code

Hi
I read a lot of books on c++ and I really love standard c++. Now I want to study simplest project in c++ and then may modify them to increase my programming skill, and this is the right way of learning programming as I read many times in many books.
I search web for simple c++ projects and code's but most are very difficult and big projects. Is there any website where I download project's suitable for me. And for a novice as me what kind of programming is good(game, utility, network, etc)?

If you've read many books on C++, did you not see any of the code examples IN those books?? And did you try going to Google, and typing in "C++ for beginners"???
