Unhappy vim ftplugin problem

Hi.Here's what I want to do.
I want to put a c.vim file which I've written myself to ~/.vim/ftplugin directory. But I want the global c.vim file that's under /usr/share/vim/ftplugin to also work. For this I added this line below in my c.vim file.
Code:
:so /usr/share/vim/ftplugin/c.vim
But it gives an error saying the file couldn't be loaded.I don't understand why it won't load it, because when I give the command by hand in vim,it works.Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmmm....

Are you sure the path is correct?

On my system, you would be short one directory level:
Code:
:so /usr/share/vim/vim72/ftplugin/c.vim
Double-check and let us know.

HTH.
