vb script?

I heard that vb scripts sucks ass.. im not sure myself because i never really paid attention to it.

currently im studying perl i've gotten the basics but i want to learn sockets.. anyway..

i want to kno what good languages are out there that's like vb?
instead of running my programs in a terminal i want to create a window of it's own like vb. any suggestions or advice? it will be greatly apreciated..

install the gtk.pm and bosh instant gui functions

the QT toolkit (using the C++ language) is also good...if you know C++ that is.

There's python which I think has GUI capabilities (but I've never tried it)

no idea what this was meant to have to do with vbscript... perl is a real language so you use real UI toolkits:
