Using VB on MySQL

Hi,
Just for an inquiry. Can i use VB tool to write a program that can retrieve and store data into MySQL Linux server? pls advise.

This might get a better response if it was in the programming forum. Not sure about what you should do though as it is heavily frowned upon to cross post. Look at the FAQ's if that is waht you decide to do. Or wait a few days and if you don't get an answer here try that forum. Just a hunch you'd do better there.

Are you trying to write a Visual Basic program to run under Windows that will store data on a MySQL database on Linux yeah? If so then yes - dead easy. You get the MyODBC package from http://www.mysql.com install it, set it up then you address your MySQL server like any other ODBC connection under windows.
