Trigger script by SSHD failues and emailing commands...

How could you trigger a script by a failed ssh login attempt?

Also, is it possible to be immediately notified of a new email without polling the system and then execute a command as a response?

You could monitor /var/log/auth.log or wherever your logins are logged.
Depending on what actions you want your script take, existing solutions may already be available.
