SuSe Linux - java problem

I have seen the discussion about the new Kernels. I am running SuSE Linux 7.3 with the 2.4.10 Kernel. I have installed both the Sun and the IBM SDKs and JREs. Both give me the same problem. I get a _Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JavaMemory_ error when I run java JavaMemory.

I have tried to use the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 setting and this did not help.

Any suggestions?

The odd thing is that I can use the same code and use Ant to install it into Tomcat and then the Servlet works just fine in Tomcat.

Thanks for any help.

May seem like a wierd question.. but what langage is your distor set to ??

echo $LC_CTYPE
echo $LANG

I work for a comany that writes java programs.. and it seems that we have probolems with any lang execpt en_US , we can get around this by setting these variables to en_US or to a null value.
